We All Have Something To Be Thankful For
Here in the U.S. we celebrate Thanksgiving on the third Thursday of November, this year it falls on Nov 27. It is a time when we gather with those we love, share a meal and, hopefully, some good and memorable times.
When I was growing up, my Mom, Dad and sister, would schlep down to San Francisco to grandma’s house. Grandma was a great cook. We’d have turkey, some amazing stuffing and, of course pumpkin pie. It was always a day of abundance: abundant food and abundant love (and, on occasion, abundant stress causing all sorts of little tiffs). Chitty Chitty Bang Bang always seemed to be playing on TV, and would plunk myself down on the living room floor and watch it on grandma’s big TV. Those were good days.
Grandma died in 1984 and I still miss her dearly. But that doesn’t mean I no longer have things to be thankful for. I am blessed to share my life with the most amazing, wonderful, lovable dog, Sprocket. I have a loving husband. This week, I’m moving into a slightly larger condo with lower rent than we’ve been paying — we even have 15 days to get the move done! And, I have you, dear reader.
And that’s the real reason I write today’s post. To thank you for coming to my blog and reading what I have to say. If you subscribe to The ART of Business, thank you again. This really is a labor of love — I passionately believe that all entrepreneurs should love their business, and I hope that the information I share in this blog and in my e-zine help you accomplish that.
So, what do you have to be thankful for? I’m sure you can come up with a long list if you try.
