Partner Your Way to a Bigger Opt-In List

Joint Venture PartnersJoint ventures (JV) are by far one of the best ways for you to grow your list. Basically, you partner with another business that has a list of people who might be interested in what you have to offer. Even better, the members of your list might be interested in what your JV partner has to offer, as well. Together you create value for the members of both your lists!

A good example is what I’ve been doing with the Turbo-Charge Your Marketing program. Here’s, in a nutshell, what I’ve done:

  1. I developed a curriculum of information that members of my list are interested in.
  2. I found professionals who could deliver this information in a meaningful way.
  3. I coordinated teleseminars with each of these professionals and invited the members of my list to attend. My JV partner also invited members of his or her list to attend.

Now here’s how I grew my list with this technique:

In order to get the information to attend the teleseminar, people had to sign up for my opt-in list!

Of course, the above is a simplification of what I’ve done. But I think it gives you the basics of what is necessary to build an opt-in list with joint ventures.
