The Challenge of the Law of Attraction

loa2.jpgSince The Secret came out, the Law of Attraction has, well, gained a lot of traction. Some people praise it. Others try to vilify it. But mostly, there is a lot of confusion about it.

The Law of Attraction isn’t new, and it’s been available to all humans whether they are small, large, black or white, Christian or Muslim, since the dawn of time. You see, we have the ability as humans to get exactly what we want in life. The key to gaining the most out of the Law of Attraction is to be conscious of these powers and understand how to use them.

O.K. This post may repeat a bit of what was posted on Dec. 1, but I think it bears repeating. These are the key concepts of the Law of Attraction and they are the keys to your success in life and business.

Thinking: We are thinking thought most of the day. Of course, most of them are very mundane. However, we could, if we wanted to, think of how it would be to be like to have what we wanted. For example, if you want to be rich, think like a rich person. If you want to be svelte, think like a svelte person. You get the picture.

Feeling: Associated very closely to thoughts are feelings. You see, when you think, you eventually feel. Most thoughts have an emotion attached to them. When feel things, you begin to think some more. If you are able to convince yourself very deeply that what you desire will happen — to the point where you can feel it — then there’s a very good chance that it will happen. So, if you want to be rich, feel it. If you want to svelte, feel svelte. Again, you get the idea.

Visualizing: There have been studies that prove visualizing an action before you take it can improve that action. For example, a group of basketball players were separated into two groups. One group practiced the game physically, the other, mentally. Which group improved? The group that visualized playing the game perfectly. You want to become successful? Visualize what that would look like. Take your thought — success — and add feeling to it, and then play that out in your mind.

Acting: Stick with it! Live your life the way you want and it will happen and that’s the bottom line. However use your common sense. It’s okay to think like a rich man, but to spend money you don’t have is not so bright either. Take baby steps — maybe splurge on that $2 piece of chocolate just once and don’t fret that it’s the most expensive chocolate you’ve ever eaten. Just savor its flavor and be thankful for the experience.

O.K., it might seem far-fetched, but what have you got to lose?
